Dan is a co-founder of Designscape and has a true passion for landscaping and everything else related to horticulture.  Dan graduated from Ball State University with a BS in Natural Resources and began cultivating his love for nature while  working in the university’s greenhouse while he was in school.  Originally from Indianapolis he moved to Bloomington soon after he met his wife Debra and has been living and working in the community ever since.   His dedication and strength have provided a consistent vision and direction for the  company where he inspires the employees to better themselves personally as well as professionally.  Dan has designed an array of exquisite gardens and landscapes specializing in naturalistic design.  Through over two decades of experience his ability to see “the big picture” and vast plant pallet, his designs and installations are featured throughout the  Midwest region with a unique use of natural stone in large scale hardscapes and  water features.
Dan is a past president of the Indiana Nurseryman’s Landscape Association through which he is also an Indiana  Accredited Horticulturalist and Master Gardener.  He is an active board member of New Song Mission, one of the leaders of DHS missions,  a volunteer at Mother’s Cupboard Community Kitchen, and served on the elder board at New Life Community Church where he is still an  active member.  He loves hard work, scuba  diving, and traveling with his family.
